Your Role as Assistant Manager

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Store Manager to lead the team, deliver an exceptional shopping experience, and drive store performance. You’ll act as a role model, helping to motivate your team and ensure that every customer leaves with a smile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Leadership: Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating the team to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Drive Sales: Use commercial awareness to help implement effective sales strategies and promotions.
  • Operational Support: Take responsibility for store operations in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth and efficient running.
  • Customer Experience: Maintain a warm, welcoming store environment that reflects Bonmarché’s brand values.
  • Team Development: Support, coach, and encourage colleagues to grow within their roles.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership potential and the ability to support and motivate a team.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach to driving sales and delivering great results.

  • Previous retail or supervisory experience is desirable, but not essential – full training and support will be provided.
