Proactively support the Store Manager in:
Team Management
- Maximising sales and profitability through exceptional customer service
- Maintaining high store standards and ensuring team performance meets company expectations
- Overseeing staff development, training, and succession planning
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and coaching team members
- Support regular performance reviews and address underperformance where necessary
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager and HR on recruitment and performance management
Store Operations
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and implement window display schemes
- Ensure compliance with promotional activity and store layout guidelines
- Oversee stock control, cash handling, and in-store security procedures
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy working environment
- Support and create staffing schedules in the absence of the manager that align with the allocated payroll budget, ensuring the store is adequately staffed to meet business needs and deliver excellent customer service
- Report maintenance issues using designated software systems
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate regularly with the Store Manager, Regional Manager, and Support Teams
- Contribute to weekly trading reports and respond promptly to internal communications
- Stay updated with company policies, procedures, and updates from Head Office
Financial & Analytical Duties
- Assist in analysing store performance, including P&L and budget tracking
- Monitor daily footfall and conversion rates and act to improve performance
- Work to achieve Average Transaction Value (ATV) and Items Per Basket (IPB) targets
- Help control stock loss and ensure accurate completion of administrative procedures
Brand & Customer Engagement
- Promote Bonus Club loyalty programme in line with GDPR guidelines
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Stay informed on product knowledge and internal systems through ongoing training
Additional Responsibilities
- Support new store openings, relocations, and closures as required
- Follow internal policies such as the Whistleblowing Policy
