Bonhill Partners are supporting a Global Trading firm in their search for a Forecast Analyst who will work in tandem with Meteorologists. This role will sit within the Front Office with a key focus on delivering forecasts for energy markets at a high accuracy within a dynamic trading environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing in-depth analysis of global weather model data.
- Creating accurate forecasts for wind and solar production.
- Clear and prompt communication of forecasts, both verbally and in writing, to internal stakeholders such as traders and analysts.
- Performing verification analyses to identify opportunities for improving forecast accuracy.
- Analysing atmospheric and climate data, and contributing to research and development initiatives on the Meteorology desk using strong programming skills.
This is a permanent role which will require 3 days a week in the office.
