We are seeking a highly collaborative and commercially minded professional to join the Technology function in a strategic operations capacity. This role will work closely with senior technology leadership to help drive operational excellence, business alignment, innovation initiatives, and colleague engagement across the wider Technology organisation.
The successful candidate will operate as a trusted partner to the Technology leadership team, supporting strategic execution, organisational communications, operational governance, and transformation initiatives. The role requires an individual who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery while fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture.
This position will also play a key role in advancing innovation programmes, supporting AI-related initiatives, improving organisational effectiveness, and coordinating engagement activities across Technology teams.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Technology leadership to coordinate strategic priorities and support execution across the function.
- Assist in the management of operational activities, governance processes, and departmental initiatives to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the Technology organisation.
- Support the delivery of business objectives by identifying opportunities for operational improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimisation.
- Monitor and coordinate progress across multiple workstreams, ensuring actions, risks, and milestones are effectively tracked.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of innovation-focused initiatives across the Technology function.
- Support the adoption and communication of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and automation opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness through process enhancement, operational simplification, and new ways of working.
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of change initiatives impacting Technology and business stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships across Technology, Operations, HR, and business teams.
- Prepare leadership materials, management reporting, presentations, and communication updates for senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical or operational information into clear and engaging messaging suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Act as a central coordination point for cross-functional initiatives and internal engagement activities.
- Support programmes focused on employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, talent development, and community initiatives.
- Partner with HR and Technology leaders to help deliver initiatives that promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
- Help coordinate activities related to early careers programmes, mentoring initiatives, and internal engagement campaigns.
- Champion a positive culture that reflects the organisation’s values and encourages innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Encourage continuous improvement and challenge existing ways of working constructively.
- Support a culture of transparency, professionalism, and high performance within the Technology function.
- Lead initiatives independently while managing competing priorities effectively.
- Previous experience in a Technology Business Management, COO Office, Strategy & Operations, or similar role within a large corporate environment.
- Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence across both business and technology teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and executive reporting.
- Understanding of technology operations, governance processes, and organisational change initiatives.
- Experience supporting engagement, culture, or diversity-related programmes is beneficial.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
