We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join an Investment Management firm on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This role will play a critical part in shaping, documenting, and governing the organisation’s data landscape, with a particular focus on enabling scalable data services for AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement data architecture frameworks across the organisation
- Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance
- Produce clear and comprehensive data architecture documentation
- Design and develop data models to support business and analytical needs
- Assess and map data flows – understanding where data resides, how it is managed, and how it is consumed
- Enable efficient data servicing for AI and advanced analytics use cases
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to align on data strategy
- Support and guide teams on best practices rather than hands-on heavy coding
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Data Architect in enterprise environments
- Proven track record in data governance and data management frameworks
- Expertise in data modelling and architectural design
- Deep understanding of Snowflake (certification highly desirable)
- Solid knowledge of SQL (ability to review and guide rather than heavy development)
- Experience with Power BI as part of a broader data architecture ecosystem
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services
- Experience enabling data platforms for AI/ML capabilities
