Bonhill Partners are supporting a commodity trading firm in their search for a Front Office Technical Business Analyst to join their high-performing technology function. This role sits at the intersection of technology and trading, working closely with front office users and developers to define, deliver, and enhance critical trading applications. You’ll act as a bridge between the business and technical teams—translating requirements, owning solutions, and helping to drive strategic change across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with traders and front office stakeholders to capture, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Collaborate with software engineers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle across enhancements and new system capabilities.
- Support user acceptance testing, release coordination, and training.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline business processes and system functionality.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a trading or commodities environment.
- Strong understanding of front office workflows—ideally in physical and financial commodity trading.
- Ability to analyse data using SQL and engage in technical conversations with developers.
- Familiarity with modern trading systems and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka).
- Experience working in agile environments and delivering projects in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred) is beneficial.
