Bonhill Partners are supporting a leading asset management firm in hiring a Senior Business Analyst. The chosen individual will be responsible for improving the client reporting systems, including workflows, data requirements and integration points with the selected vendor.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end data delivery to the new reporting vendor, ensuring they have all the required data with no gaps.
- Act as the single point of technical contact for the vendor implementation team.
- Converge data from multiple internal sources and legacy vendor feeds (currently 4 vendors) into a standardised interface.
- Define, document, and manage data exports, mappings, labels, and aggregation logic.
- Ensure complex financial structures (e.g. funds, share classes, attributions) are accurately represented.
- Ensure client reporting outputs meet agreed requirements, including:
- Aggregations (e.g. top 10 holdings).
- Labels, classifications, and reporting attributes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong SQL skills (essential).
- Proven experience in: Data integration, Data exports and mappings, Identifying and resolving data gaps.
- Experience working with external vendors and third-party implementations.
- Strong understanding of financial data, ideally including: Funds, Share class structures, Holdings and aggregations.
- Ability to operate confidently in a high-visibility, delivery-focused role.
Desirable:
- Experience with Snowflake (helpful but not essential).
- Exposure to reporting platforms, dashboards, or workflow tooling.
- UI awareness or experience working with functional UIs.
- Familiarity with modern data tooling and self-service platforms.
- Interest or experience with AI-enabled tools (e.g. prompt-driven interfaces, ChatGPT-style tooling, Evolve or similar).
