About the Department
Our Marketing group is a strategic team who work independently towards clear common objectives. The pace is fast, and we're constantly learning. Whether developing marketing strategies, producing creative or optimising digital, our mission is to deliver the best possible experience for our clients, as well as the best outcome for the business. We take pride in offering a bespoke approach for every auction, and work with internal specialist teams, Press, Events and Creative to tell the stories of the rare and unique items sourced for auctions across over 60 collecting categories.
About the Role
This role has a dedicated focus on our Luxury categories (Jewellery, Watches, Wine & Spirits, Designer Handbags and Fashion) as well as our Home & Interiors departments (Fine Decorative Arts, Private & Iconic Collections, House Sales, and related categories).
- Lead strategy and implement all marketing campaigns for the London saleroom, working together with the global marketing team.
- Lead on strategy and content on the Bonhams social media handles and engage key influencers to leverage the brand.
- Manage one Marketing Coordinator on the execution of all Bonhams campaigns.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to support sale promotion and business-getting.
- Manage the production of exciting and engaging campaign content including copy, film, photography and editorial.
- Manage content and coordination of cross-category digital advertising on paid social and paid search channels.
- Manage multiple budgets.
- Execute data-driven marketing reports to assess channel performance.
- Oversee marketing design workflows and production.
- Support consignment efforts in the UK, working in collaboration with the wider London marketing team on digital and print advertising channels.
- Maintain a relationship with third parties, e.g. media agencies, photographers/videographers print and mailing house suppliers and develop new relationships.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with key stakeholders and departments and keep ongoing knowledge of business KPIs.
Key Skills & Experience
An experienced marketing manager with demonstrable working knowledge in the art and/or luxury markets, you will have previously led, implemented, and managed multi-channel campaigns. You will be used to managing suppliers and agencies, setting clear objectives and communicating briefs effectively. You have experience managing social media channels, media buying and monitoring spend to ensure objectives are met and exceeded. A confident communicator, you will be comfortable advising key internal stakeholders, and will be able to work independently, as well as with the global team, reporting against our common marketing objectives.
