Join to apply for the Business Development Manager role at Bonham & Brook

Bonham & Brook believe innovation thrives in uncertainty, but when it comes to tax our clients need complete clarity. In today’s challenging environment, effective tax planning requires exceptional and trusted advisors; and that’s exactly who we are. We combine professionalism with top-tier expertise to help companies compliantly maximise tax incentives.

About The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth trajectory and capitalising on the immense potential of our specialised services. Your day-to-day will benefit from lots of variety and a healthy dose of challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilising our extensive software suite and your network to identify potential clients, receiving industry‑leading technical training from our highly qualified consultants
  • Outreach to Director & C‑Suite level prospects through LinkedIn, email, and over the phone: innovative and professional in your approach to stand out from the crowd
  • Leading business meetings (virtual and face‑to‑face) to deeply understand client’s challenges and needs, and effectively demonstrating our value proposition
  • Immaculate follow‑up & objection handling: navigating complexities & gaining traction with other stakeholders, to create genuine value for each party
  • Expertly negotiating terms of engagement, fee structures, and contracting
  • Collaborating with all departments in the business to maximise quality of delivery
  • Attending industry events to generate leads and drive our market presence
  • Proactively seeking referral opportunities, client testimonials, and other strategic partnerships, opening up new networks and revenue streams
  • Regular in‑depth (and heavily tailored) training to maximise your strengths and develop areas of potential: selling ‘your’ way but gaining a more rounded skillset

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to independently run full sales cycle: controlling your pipeline through proper discovery, objection handling, and creating legitimate urgency to help your clients
  • High confidence in leading meetings & complex deals with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen making solid judgement calls on fit, risk, and deal value
  • Prioritisation of high‑value activity, ability to filter out the noise and generate ROI
  • Self‑aware & mature, ability to remain consistent and effective under pressure
  • Appetite to win as a team: strong desire and ability to coach and upskill junior team members, and collaborate effectively with other departments in the business
  • Intrinsic drive: clear direction & understanding of what success looks like to you, and hunger to achieve this in the long‑term (not dependent on pure instant gratification)
  • Experience‑wise, success in the industry is desirable but we will absolutely consider anybody with the right attitude and ability (we can provide the tax training!)

What We Offer

We are at a critical point in our journey, and there has never been a better time to join. The market is in a fantastic place for compliance‑led consultancies, and our emphasis on this is a real differentiator to the competition. There is a huge amount of potential to take advantage of from our current offerings but also lots of other areas we will expand in to; providing huge opportunities for those who can capitalise on it.

  • Very lucrative quarterly + annual bonuses, alongside a market‑leading transparent commission structure. Six‑figure OTE achievable in first year, and huge potential for long‑term recurring revenue from 5+ year contracts
  • Competitive base salary, ranging from £40k - £50k (dependent upon experience)
  • Team & company incentives (often abroad!) and + socials (arranged & impromptu)
  • Comprehensive private health & dental care (with lots of related perks such as reduced‑price gym memberships, smartwatches, spa facilities, etc.)
  • Innovative salary‑sacrifice scheme for electric vehicle purchases
  • Enrolment in company pension scheme & access to planning / advice
  • Fully‑expensed business travel and high level of autonomy / trust in the role
  • 25 days of annual leave (increasing with length of service) + flexible working
  • Industry‑leading training & a fantastic calibre of experience to progress your career: clear internal promotion pathways all the way through to Director / Partner level

If you’re ready to make an impact in a fast‑growing consultancy and help innovative companies thrive, we want to hear from you.
