Reports To: The Warehouse Operative will report to the Group General Manager.

Job Overview: Ensuring the correct picking and packing of items to satisfy customer needs. Despatching items, using the correct carrier methods and supporting the various internal departments in delivering exceptional service to customers. Good knowledge of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.

Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Correctly pick items as highlighted by the MRP system.
  • Pack items in a safe, transportable way – ensuring parts arrive at our customers securely and well presented.
  • Locate items within the warehouse correctly to avoid any stock discrepancies.
  • Highlight any stock issues identified, be it unsafe storage, mixed parts, incorrect locations or anything else that could cause disruption to customer service.
  • Building strong relationships with other departments to ensure excellent customer service is provided.
  • Be part of cross functional Improvement Teams, as required by the Business.
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Person:

  • Ability to offer excellent Customer Service.
  • Must have a strong eye for detail and working with many part numbers.
  • Conscientious worker, who enjoys being part of a team.
  • Experience with MRP Systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
