Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in maintenance, repair, and customer service. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing various tasks that require mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and the ability to read schematics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities.
- Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
- Provide electrical support, including installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to assess and resolve mechanical problems.
- Supervise and lead small teams on specific projects or tasks when required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client needs professionally.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles is essential.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
