We’re working with a client looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to support the commercial and contractual management of a range of projects and portfolios. This is a key role focused on protecting commercial interests, managing contractual risk, and supporting successful project delivery across complex and fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial and contractual activities across assigned projects and portfolios
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and variations
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support bid and proposal activity, including commercial reviews and risk assessments
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role
  • Strong understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT, bespoke contracts)
  • Skilled negotiator with strong stakeholder management capability
  • Commercially aware, analytical, and confident making decisions
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Degree qualified in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business, or a related discipline
  • Professional qualification (or working towards) such as RICS, CIPS, or WorldCC
  • Experience supporting complex projects within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or related sectors
