A growing specialist business in the precious metals and materials recovery sector is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop its quality function across two key sites, a laboratory operation in Oxford and a pilot processing facility in the North East. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will take full ownership of quality systems, ensuring robust QA/QC processes, maintaining ISO 9001 standards and supporting environmental compliance activities. You'll play a pivotal role in embedding a strong quality culture across both technical and operational teams, with regular travel between sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead QA/QC activities across laboratory and pilot plant operations
- Maintain and develop ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Oversee audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage laboratory standards including calibration, validation and testing
- Support environmental compliance and ISO 14001 alignment
Experience Required:
- Proven quality management experience in a technical, scientific or processing environment
- Strong background in laboratory QA/QC and ISO standards
- Experience of multi-site operations
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence across teams
- Willing to travel regularly between Oxford and the North East
