Our client is looking for a Senior Development Scientist who has navigated the full journey from early-stage concept to commercially viable product - and wants to do it again, at pace, in a high-growth environment. You'll be a key member of the development team, responsible for shaping technical direction and driving delivery across the full product development lifecycle. You understand what it takes to move a promising prototype out of the lab and into the hands of customers - and you know how to bring a team with you on that journey.

What you'll do:

  • Lead experimental programmes from early feasibility through to robust, scalable workflows integrated into our commercial platform
  • Define technical roadmaps, milestones, and success criteria that balance scientific ambition with commercial realities
  • Prioritise competing workstreams in line with company objectives, adapting plans as the product and market evolve
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership and line management, developing the scientists around you
  • Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and drive continuous improvements in performance, robustness, and scalability
  • Collaborate across functions - engineering, software, commercial - to ensure technical outputs land as viable, integrated solutions
