Job Description
Full Stack Developer – Christchurch – up to £55,000 DOEOur client based in Christchurch, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to help scale their flagship platform, for a growing global user base.The successful candidate will work across the stack – from PHP back end to front end – delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while mentoring junior developers and influencing technical direction.Key responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to the development team.
- Plan, organise, and oversee software development projects from concept to release.
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
- Support the growth and development of junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to keep quarterly projects on track.
- Research, adopt, and implement new technologies and best practices to continuously improve the platform.
- Shadow the Engineering Manager and deputise when required.
Skills required:
- Strong PHP (Laravel or similar), TypeScript, SQL skills.
- Experience with Angular (or React/VueJS with willingness to learn Angular).
- 5+ years in software development, Agile/Scrum experience.
