We are seeking a hands-on Finance Assistant to join an early-stage life sciences business operating in a start-up environment. This is a broad role covering day-to-day finance operations through to trial balance, as well as supporting month-end reporting and management accounts.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing invoices
- Supplier onboarding and invoice checking
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals
- Supporting monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance maintenance
- Supporting year-end audit
- Working in Sage and supporting reporting improvements
- Maintaining strong financial controls
Experience required:
- Experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant role
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and month-end processes
- Comfortable working through to trial balance level
- Experience in a start-up or small business environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Based within commuting distance of West London
