Our client, a leading manufacturer of advanced instrumentation and sensor technologies, is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead its global engineering function and deliver innovation across industrial, aerospace, medical, and defence markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver the engineering strategy across three international sites.
- Lead product development and manage redesign projects.
- Maintain compliance with Defence, SIL, and functional safety requirements.
- Oversee CAD / data management integration with ERP, resolving legacy system challenges.
- Ensure engineering performance across quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Develop, inspire, and manage international engineering teams.
Experience required:
- Significant experience in product development.
- Strong background in mechanical and electrical / electronic engineering, instrumentation, and metrology.
- Expertise in functional safety, Defence, and SIL compliance.
- Proven success in managing complex data environments (CAD / ERP integration).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
