A Part Time Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper is being recruited by an established e-commerce group of companies based at Bournemouth Airport. They are offering 24 hours per week (office based) and the flexibility to work the hours to suit other commitments.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for the following duties across all group companies:
- Processing purchase invoices, matching and coding accurately, handling supplier queries, reconciling statements and processing payments
- Raising sales invoices, allocating incoming payments to accounts and reconciling customer accounts, monitor outstanding balances and handling discrepancies
- Handling all aspects of credit control/aged debtors, chasing overdue monies and escalating any issues as necessary
- Posting journals to the general ledger
- Processing staff multi currency expenses
- Assisting with month end processes
- Bank reconciliations
- Other ad hoc finance duties as required
Suitable Candidates
- Previous experience of accounting/bookkeeping in a similar role
- Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- AAT full or part qualification an advantage but not essential
- Good Excel - essential, Sage Accounting knowledge an advantage but not essential
- High attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to work xgikmsk accurately in a busy complex business
