Our client, a specialist manufacturing company in Abingdon (OX14), is seeking a temporary Quality Inspector to support a friendly team during a period of peak demand. The role will be responsible for identifying and documenting non-conformances on incoming products, ensuring impeccable accuracy. This is a temporary role for a period of 4 months but there is some chance it could be extended depending on business needs. It is a clean, modern facility working with state of the art technology and contributing to the manufacture of scientific products which are used in a range of research that benefits humanity.
Quality Inspector duties:
- Performing incoming inspection of various components against defined acceptance criteria
- Carrying out visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate equipment as instructed
- Reviewing relevant supplier documentation and ensuring required records are available and complete
- Recording and maintaining accurate inspection results and traceability information
- Identifying, segregating and escalating non-conforming materials in accordance with Quality procedures
The role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail who can work in a fast-paced environment, following work instructions and SOPs to the letter. Any specific experience of quality inspection within regulated manufacturing would be highly advantageous. The working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday and the pay rate is £14.71 per hour. We are keen to find someone who can start within 1 week.
