We are recruiting for a Part-Time Legal Secretary to join the friendly and supportive team of a well-respected law firm in Bridport.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary, or an experienced Secretary looking to move into the legal sector.
You will provide key secretarial and administrative support to the Conveyancing team, as well as supporting other departments across the firm, while working within a professional, welcoming, and supportive team.
The Role Providing efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Conveyancing team and other departments as required.
Preparing accurate legal correspondence and documents using audio typing and Microsoft Word.
Proofreading and checking documents to ensure accuracy and a high standard of presentation.
Managing diaries, appointments, and client correspondence.
Opening new matter files and maintaining accurate client and case records.
Assisting with conveyancing administration and supporting fee earners with day-to-day matters.
Handling telephone enquiries professionally, courteously, and sensitively.
Dealing with confidential and sensitive client information with discretion.
Filing and maintaining client and case files in good order.
Preparing correspondence and document attachments and ensuring documents are sent correctly.
Providing reception cover when required.
Supporting other secretaries and colleagues as part of a collaborative and flexible team.
Providing administrative support across other departments as required, making this a varied and interesting role.
About You We are looking for someone who is: An experienced Secretary or Legal Secretary.
Conveyancing/Legal experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
A strong and accurate typist, with audio typing experience desirable.
Professional and confident when dealing with clients and telephone enquiries.
Able to deal sensitively and professionally with confidential information.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support different departments and manage a varied workload.
