Financial Accountant required for a large organisation in Poole where you will provide financial expertise, governance and reporting. They are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to support a significant accounting standards transition project. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting the transition to updated accounting standards
- Gathering, analysing and validating financial data to ensure compliance with new reporting requirements
- Preparing and documenting accounting processes, journals and adjustments
- Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
- Working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth transition and audit process
- Delivering guidance and support to finance colleagues and stakeholders on new accounting requirements
- Assisting with financial systems updates, reporting structures and chart of accounts changes
What We're Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong experience in financial and statutory accounting
- Experience of accounting standards implementation projects
- Understanding of financial controls, governance and reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
- Confident communicator who can work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
