Our client is a successful and established manufacturing company based in the Poole area and they have a new opportunity for a Finance Assistant with a bias towards accounts receivable. Reporting to a Group Management Accountant you will have responsibility for:

  • Cash posting and allocating remittances
  • Requesting payment
  • Sending invoices and requesting debit notes
  • Checking returns against credit notes
  • Identifying transactions that need investigation
  • Creating and sending monthly statements
  • Intercompany re-charges
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring shared email boxes
  • Cover within the finance dept
  • Assisting with month end and year end work
  • Ad hoc duties

You will need to have previous general accounts experience, particularly in accounts receivable or payables experience and experience of customer website portals/marketplaces would be a distinct advantage. You will also need to be a team player, have strong attention to detail and happy to take responsibility. Knowledge of Excel and good data entry skills are also needed.
