We're looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join a high-tech instrumentation team building advanced optical and electronic systems used in cutting-edge scientific applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble and test precision instruments (electronics + optics)
- Build electrical harnesses and electronic sub-systems
- Align optical components using laser systems
- Carry out Final Acceptance Testing (training provided)
- Follow detailed work instructions and record test data accurately
- Support fault finding and repair activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
Experience required:
- Strong hands-on assembly experience and excellent attention to detail
- Experience in electronics, optics, or precision instrumentation (approx. 3 years)
- Ability to perform basic fault finding (e.g. continuity testing)
- Comfortable working in a lab/PPE environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Laser/optics experience desirable
