Temporary Accounts Manager required for a client based in the Fordingbridge area. There is the opportunity for the assignment to be made permanent if it's a good match for you and the client. Hybrid working, part time up to 32 hours. Reporting to the business owner, you will be overseeing the financial management of the business.
Key duties:
- Monitor bank accounts on a daily basis and reconcile on a monthly basis
- Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts at the month end and investigating differences
- Monitoring capital expenditure on buildings and significant projects
- Processing and recording monthly payroll and processing approved overtime submissions
- Oversight of all VAT returns
- Monitoring expenditure and income on a regular basis and report any corrective measures to be taken
- Assisting in the preparation of an annual budget
- Supporting in the preparation of financial analysis to support income growth and enhanced profitability
- Line management and support of the Finance Assistant
- Xero accounts work for bank reconciliation, sales and purchase ledger, credit control
Experience and skills:
- Proven experience in financial reporting and in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Payroll experience
- Supervisory / line management experience
- Good working knowledge of various accounts packages
- Confident in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new management information systems
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Resilient, enthusiastic, and motivated
- Maintain strict confidentiality where required
