A new opportunity for a Warehouse & Logistics Operator has become available with our client in Abingdon (OX14). This is a temp to perm opportunity joining a well established team in a highly successful organisation, working in a state of the art facility. You would be joining a world leading technology company who ship their products globally, which are used for ground breaking scientific and medical research.
Warehouse & Logistics Operator responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely stock control, cycle counts, physical inventory management and reporting when required.
- Support and assist warehouse team leader with investigation(s) and resolution of any stock or shipments discrepancies identified.
- Accurate management of handling of finished goods packaging and outbound customer orders and documentation associated to them.
- Receipt and dispatch of goods following process and procedures as the daily requirement.
- Maintaining timely accuracy / quality of inventory on the system (D365).
- Support EHS and housekeeping at all times within area of responsibility, especially when operating within the onsite Walk-In Chiller / Freezer and outside Reefer containers.
The ideal Warehouse & Logistics Operator will have:
- Extensive experience working in a cross functional logistics environment.
- An excellent work ethic, great team working skills and a positive attitude.
- A proactive approach and a dedication to quality.
- Experience using a counterbalance forklift (refresher training can be provided).
Desirable experience includes:
- VNA truck experience.
- Scientific / pharma / biotech GMP environment.
Hours of work are 6am-2pm Mon-Fri with opportunity for regular overtime paid at time and a half. This role will offer an immediate start.
