We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor / Litigator who will join our Specialist Litigation team based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of researching, developing, investigating and bringing proceedings in a variety of civil litigation cases and multi-party actions.
- Developing a close working relationship with other claimant firms, defendant solicitors and Kings Counsel to advance claims through the Court system.
- Understand the practicalities and implement and manage the gathering of evidence and data management required to bring valid claims on a large scale &/or in large volumes.
- Taking client instructions and advising on legal and procedural issues in an effort to progress files and the litigation as a whole.
- Supervising and delegating work to junior members of the team as appropriate.
- Contributing original ideas and concepts to improve the department and grow the business.
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive or equivalent.
- Previous litigation experience is essential.
- Good understanding of the civil litigation environment and be able to assess and apply that knowledge to any case, including group litigation.
- Ability to draft documents, letters and contracts in relation to parties to the claim and third-party stakeholders.
- IT literate with previous use of Proclaim case management or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Committed, organised, dedicated and able to cope under pressure at times.
- The ability to manage own workloads whilst keeping quality of work to a high standard.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Target driven whilst maintaining exceptional client care.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
