We are currently recruiting for a Medicals Team Leader to join our Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality service, supporting a busy team, and ensuring the smooth and efficient management of obtaining medical evidence and medical records.
In this role, you will lead the Medicals team, ensuring that all instructions, requests, and communications are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with GDPR requirements and internal service level agreements (SLAs). Working closely with the Head of Medical Operations, you will serve as the primary point of support for the team, providing guidance on complex queries, driving process improvements, and maintaining high standards of service, quality, and operational excellence across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the Medicals team and supporting day-to-day workflow
- Lead and motivate the Medicals team, ensuring high levels of engagement and productivity
- Ensuring all medical instructions are completed accurately and within SLA
- Overseeing the request and processing of medical records in line with GDPR and internal procedures
- Ensuring records are securely and promptly sent to medical experts for review
- Supporting team members with queries and providing guidance where needed
- Monitoring performance, identifying training needs and helping to develop the team
- Liaising with file handlers, clients and medical agencies to resolve issues efficiently
- Helping to improve processes and drive continuous improvement within the team
About You:
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Confident using systems and managing administrative processes
- Ability to prioritise workload and support a team working to deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience within a medical, legal or administrative environment would be beneficial
