We are currently recruiting for a Fees Clerk to join our Courts Team based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Agreeing and negotiating fees for hearings with chambers.
- Requesting fee notes from chambers and logging onto relevant case.
- Chasing outstanding fee notes through management of tasks.
- Highlight and discuss with Court and Costs teams any dispute or miscalculation in respect of fee notes received.
- Strong working knowledge of civil court fees.
- Ability to work through and manage aged debt excel reports from chambers.
- Experience and familiarity with ProClaim & Excel.
- Good communication skills to be demonstrated both internally as well as externally with various chambers.
- Ability to work effectively within a pressured environment and to demonstrate excellence in attention to detail.
About You:
- Ideally have knowledge and familiar with the Proclaim Case Management System but training can be provided.
- Ideally IT literate.
- Great in dealing with customers by phone and general customer handling experience.
- Experience of working as a fees clerk in barrister’s chambers or solicitors is preferable.
