- Male Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in
Upton Park (E13) from September.
- This is a rewarding long-term opportunity supporting a
- Year 4 boy on a 1:1 basis . The pupil has
Autism (ASD) and is classroom-based, so you will play a key role in helping him access learning, build confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.
The school is a beautiful, welcoming primary school with a fantastic leadership team and genuinely supportive staff who work closely together to ensure every child receives the best possible support.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with Autism.
- Supporting the child within the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism, is desirable.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker is beneficial.
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, committed and able to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
