We are an established and growing groundworks company looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee projects from site set-up through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, with a strong focus on health & safety, planning, and workforce coordination. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive Site Manager with solid groundworks experience and a strong understanding of H&S systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver site induction briefings to all new starters
  • Deliver RAMS briefings to the workforce
  • Prepare COSHH assessments and COSHH instructions
  • Conduct daily Safe Start briefings
  • Compile weekly H&S packs, upload to SharePoint and issue accordingly
  • Deliver weekly Toolbox Talks (Safety, Environment, Quality & COSHH)
  • Ensure weekly PUWER and LOLER inspections are completed by Supervisors
  • Ensure plant operators complete daily and weekly plant check sheets
  • Carry out weekly Site Manager H&S audits
  • Allocate actions and close out audit findings
  • Update RAMS and service boards with the latest documentation
  • Prepare 2-week short-term programmes, agree milestone dates with the team
  • Prepare for and attend Black Hat meetings
  • Complete and maintain daily site diaries
  • Scan induction forms onto SharePoint and update induction logs
  • Review plant testing and maintenance requirements

  • CSCS Gold or Black Card
  • First Aid (or working towards)
  • SEATS (or working towards)
  • Temporary Works Supervisor (or working towards)
