We are working with a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering projects nationwide, with the majority of current works located in London. They are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Engineer on a permanent basis. This role would suit an engineer based in the Berkshire / Thames Valley region, comfortable working across multiple sites and supporting groundworks and civil engineering packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for groundworks, drainage, kerbs, roads and associated civils works
- Producing and maintaining accurate levels, lines and dimensions
- Interpreting drawings, specifications and construction information
- Supporting site management with QA checks and as-built records
- Liaising with site teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate delivery
- Maintaining engineering and technical site records
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering
- Strong setting-out capability using total stations, GPS and levels
- Sound understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- CSCS card and full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to travel to sites nationwide (primarily London)
- Relevant engineering qualification preferred but not essential
