Site Foreman – RAF Lakenheath 12-Month Contract | Excellent Day Rate | Major Civil Engineering Project

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Foreman to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project at RAF Lakenheath.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term scheme, overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of roads, drainage and utility infrastructure works on a high-profile defence project.

RAF Lakenheath continues to see significant investment in infrastructure, making this an excellent long-term opportunity.

The Role

  • Managing and coordinating up to 5 gangs across multiple work fronts.
  • Supervising day-to-day site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
  • Planning labour, plant and materials to maximise productivity.
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed, including daily briefings and site inspections.
  • Liaising closely with the Site Manager, Engineers and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring quality, productivity and progress while resolving site issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Foreman on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in roads, drainage, utilities and earthworks.
  • Experience managing multiple gangs simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work (desirable).
  • Experience working on defence or high-security projects would be advantageous.

This is a 12-month freelance contract offering long-term, stable work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
