I am currently looking for an experienced document controller to join a large infrastructure project in Guildford. My client has just secured another 18 months worth of work and requires an experienced individual to join and support an excellent team. This is a site-based role and would suit a Document Controller with proven experience working on major construction or civil engineering projects.
The Role
- Full control and administration of project documentation
- Managing incoming and outgoing drawings, technical documents and correspondence
- Ensuring document control procedures are followed and maintained
- Supporting engineers, commercial and site teams with document queries
- Maintaining accurate records, registers and audit trails
- Liaising with design teams, subcontractors and the client
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller on a construction site (essential)
- Experience working on infrastructure, highways or major civils projects preferred
- Confident using document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, ProjectWise or similar)
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced site environment
