I am currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to work for a very reputable ground works contractor who are delivering the ground works and frame for a large new build retail unit in Falmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for groundworks, foundations, drainage, and external works
- Accurate positioning and checking of holding down bolts and base plates
- Overseeing and verifying drainage installation and associated works
- Producing and updating site drawings using AutoCAD
- Interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Managing QA checks, as-builts, and site records
- Coordinating with site managers, subcontractors, and surveyors
- Ensuring works are delivered to specification and programme
- Supporting health and safety compliance on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks or civils projects
- Strong experience with holding down bolts, drainage, and foundations
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Competent with setting out equipment (GPS / Total Station)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication and reporting skills
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable but not essential)
