We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to deliver a major clean water infrastructure project based in Bournemouth. This is a 12-month freelance opportunity for a skilled Site Manager with a strong background in water projects. The successful Site Manager will be responsible for managing all site activities in Bournemouth, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works including large-diameter pipeline installation and storage tank construction.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
- Oversee all site operations as Site Manager on a clean water project in Bournemouth
- Manage installation of clean water pipelines (600mm - 1000mm)
- Supervise construction of reinforced frame (RF) water storage tanks
- Coordinate all associated groundworks across the Bournemouth site
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, and programme delivery
- Maintain quality standards and project specifications
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders in Bournemouth
- Produce site reports and documentation
Requirements for the Site Manager:
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager on clean water projects
- Strong experience with large-diameter pipe installation (600mm+)
- Background in groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC/RF) frame construction
- Valid SMSTS certification
- CSCS Black Card (or equivalent)
- First Aid qualification (preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams on a Bournemouth-based project
