Bond Recruit are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways project in Dorset. This is a 7-month freelance position working night shifts, offering a good run of work for an engineer with previous highways and civil engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Setting out for highways and associated civil engineering works
- Carrying out site surveys and taking levels
- Producing and maintaining accurate QA records
- Checking drawings, specifications and setting-out information
- Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and other engineering staff
- Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design
- Assisting with permits, RAMS and site documentation
- Monitoring progress and identifying any engineering issues
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety throughout the works
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer
- Strong highways / civil engineering background
- Confident with setting-out equipment including GPS and Total Station
- Good understanding of QA and site documentation
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working night shifts
- Own engineering equipment preferred but not essential
