Our client offers an excellent opportunity for a full-time Machine Operator to join an International FMCG manufacturer in the Central Wigan area. This permanent position offers the chance to work in a clean, modern, and highly automated production environment.

***KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A MACHINE OPERATOR***

As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in the production of FMCG hygiene products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Operating specialised FMCG production machineryincluding:
• Fabric Conversion Machines, Flow Wrapping, Pick & Place, Case Erectors and Palletising.

• Production Line Collaboration:
• Work closely within a fast-paced team environment to meet strict daily and weekly production targets in the FMCG sector.

• Quality Assurance:Perform regular quality checks ensuring every baby wipe and toiletry product meets the highest hygiene and safety standards as expected in FMCG manufacturing.

• Health & Safety:Strictly follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols specific to FMCG production lines. Identify and report any machinery faults or hazards immediately. Maintain the cleanliness and operational efficiency of your machines and workspace, adhering to rigorous FMCG industry standards. Keep your work area clean, minimise waste, and report any process issues to ensure continuous production flow.

***ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR A MACHINE OPERATOR***

• Minimum 1 year of Machine Operative experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment experience in food, beverage, toiletries, or baby wipes production or similar is essential.
• Proven ability to work with complex FMCG machinery in a hygienic, high-standard environment.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills (to be tested during interview).
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable with basic documentationboth written and digital; basic PC skills are beneficial.
