Do you enjoy influencing decisions rather than simply reporting the numbers?

Are you at your best when working alongside senior stakeholders to help shape the future of a business?

Would you like the opportunity to develop into a Finance Director as your career progresses?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're partnering with a successful, privately-owned consultancy business that’s entering an exciting phase of growth.

The leadership team see finance as a genuine commercial partner and are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the wider success of the business, not simply produce month-end reports.

Working closely with an experienced Fractional CFO and the senior leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, improve financial performance and help build a finance function capable of supporting ambitious growth plans.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Producing insightful monthly management accounts and commercial reporting.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
  • Business partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
  • Supporting strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Improving financial controls, reporting and business processes.
  • Developing and mentoring a small finance team.
  • Helping shape the future finance function as the business continues to grow.
  • We'd particularly like to hear from people who
  • Enjoy working closely with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Can explain financial information in a clear, commercial and practical way.
  • Have experience within consultancy, recruitment, professional services, agencies, project-led businesses or other growing SMEs.
  • Like improving systems, processes and reporting rather than simply maintaining them.
  • Want broader responsibility and genuine influence within a growing business.
  • Are ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or approaching qualification).

Perhaps you're currently a Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner or Senior Finance Manager who has reached the point where you're looking for greater ownership and the opportunity to influence a business at leadership level.

If you're ambitious, commercially curious and enjoy helping businesses make better decisions, this could be the ideal next step.

Why this opportunity?

This isn't simply another finance role.

It's an opportunity to work alongside experienced business leaders, become a trusted adviser to the owners and develop into a Finance Director as the business continues its exciting growth journey.

If you're looking for a role where your commercial insight will genuinely influence the future direction of a business, we’d love to have a confidential conversation.
