Management Accountant - 9 month FTC - Based in Harlow - c£65,000

Do you enjoy turning complex cost data into insight that senior leaders can actually use? Are you more interested in building reporting models and cost methodologies than producing routine month-end numbers? A well-established, purpose-led organisation is about to undertake a major piece of work to strengthen its internal reporting, cost allocation approach and performance insight, and is seeking a qualified accountant to play a key role in that journey on a 9 month FTC.

This is not a typical management accounting role. The focus is on analysing large data sets, developing robust cost allocation methodologies, improving financial reporting and supporting forecasting and scenario modelling that will influence real strategic decisions across the organisation.

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong experience in cost accounting, overhead allocation, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. You’ll be confident working with senior stakeholders, highly competent with Excel, and comfortable using Power BI or similar tools to present meaningful financial insight. Exposure to charity, grant or not-for-profit environments or value-for-money analysis would be advantageous.

The role is based in Essex with excellent transport links from London and offers blended working. If you enjoy improving how financial information is used, rather than simply reported, this 9 month FTC offers a genuinely interesting and impactful project.
