We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Support Manager to provide expert clinical leadership across our South Patch of nursing homes. This is a senior clinical role focused on supporting, developing, and strengthening nursing practice to ensure high-quality, safe, and person-centred care.
About the Role
As Clinical Support Manager, you will work closely with Home Managers and nursing teams, providing hands-on clinical support and leadership. You will play a key role in coaching nurses on the floor, mentoring clinical teams, and ensuring clinical standards are consistently met and improved across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-floor clinical coaching and mentoring to nurses and care team
- Observe, assess, and support clinical competencies, ensuring best practice is embedded
- Complete and support clinical assessments and action planning
- Support homes to understand and effectively use PCS systems
- Oversee and monitor clinical KPIs, supporting homes to achieve and sustain performance targets
- Provide hands-on support to homes in crisis, stabilising services and driving rapid improvement
- Ensure services operate within quality, regulatory, and clinical governance frameworks
- Support continuous improvement and readiness for inspections
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive consistent clinical excellence
About You
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Significant experience within nursing homes or complex care environments
- Strong background in clinical leadership, mentoring, and coaching
- Confident in assessing clinical competencies and supporting professional development
- Experienced in working with KPIs, audits, and quality improvement plans
- Knowledge and experience of PCS systems
- Calm, resilient, and confident when supporting services during periods of challenge or crisis
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites within the South Patch
