PARALEGALS – we take paralegal training very seriously and regularly take on paralegals as part of our Accelerated Development Programme. Regardless of whether we have any current paralegal job vacancies, we are always keen to hear from bright enthusiastic LLB and LPC graduates who are looking for entry-level local legal jobs and a long-term legal career – and who live near to one of our four branch offices.
REMOTE WORKERS – please note that while some of our vacancies, including all our conveyancing vacancies, are entirely suitable for remote lawyers, we will only consider applications for these legal jobs from candidates who have already had experience of purely home working for law firms.
The successful candidate for the Conveyancing paralegal role will have:
- At least 3 years’ solid experience of residential conveyancing – either as a FILEX or Licensed Conveyancer, although we are happy to consider experienced candidates without legal qualifications
- Great people skills and will be an enthusiastic team player
- Good organisational, time management and IT skills
- The ability to multi-task under pressure
- The confidence and the ability to react to change whilst working within a pressurised environment
- Excellent standards of client care and great communication skills
- A history of strong billing
- A desire and the ability to help in the growth of the property department
The job would not be suitable for a partner level candidate or solicitor. Furthermore, there is no prospect of a management role for the successful candidate in the residential conveyancing team for the foreseeable future. An enthusiasm to train and successful experience of training paralegals would be a bonus – though not essential.
Location: Remote working is available, as is hybrid working or being based at any one of our 4 branch offices – Salisbury, Andover, Amesbury and Fordingbridge.
The team consists of 30 strong property team members, with support from both our specialist onboarding and post-completion teams. There is a possibility of having a dedicated paralegal for you, but please note, if that is the case, the paralegal may be an inexperienced law graduate – so an enthusiasm to assist with their training is important. However, we do already have a structured and highly successful fast track training programme for our conveyancing paralegals.
Salary: Market rate, dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
