About the Role
We are seeking an experienced locum lawyer to support our established and busy leasehold team. This is a hands-on role requiring immediate contribution, managing a full caseload of lease extension and enfranchisement matters while we recruit a permanent team member. This is not a “caretaker” position. We are specifically looking for a lawyer who can drive matters forward efficiently, progress files proactively, and deliver results for clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of:
- Statutory lease extensions
- Collective enfranchisement matters
- Associated advisory and transactional work
Qualifications
- Experienced in leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions (essential)
- Able to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Commercially aware and solution-focused
- Highly organised, with strong file progression skills
- Proactive rather than reactive in approach
- Comfortable working remotely and integrating into an existing team
Required Skills
- Solid background in leasehold reform work
- Practical experience of statutory procedures under:
- Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
- Leasehold Reform Act 1967
