Job Summary
Provides technical skills in obtaining electrocardiograph tracings, routine exercise stress testing, exercise testing with nuclear medicine, and Holter Monitor application and scanning if applicable in specific Non‑Invasive Cardiology department.
Essential Functions
- Gathers relevant personal information from patient’s record.
- Prepares and instructs patients on the proper procedures to follow.
- Transports portable electrocardiograph to hospital units and administers electrocardiograms to inpatients, or to out-patients in the lab area.
- Performs stress/nuclear stress tests with treadmill, observing tracings for abnormalities.
- Scans Holter Monitors, observing tracings for abnormalities if applicable.
- Ensures test results are placed in the proper physician reading box for interpretation.
