Opportunity:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for building business relations with Key Accounts within the Long-Term Care (LTC) industry. It is the intention to initially focus on the central UK region but over time, the scope may increase to cover larger (nationwide) perspectives. The BDM must be a strong relationship builder who confidently engages with top management in the industry. Actual sales of Wet-room solutions/projects and Service and maintenance contracts define the commercial success of the BDM. Based on the above offering, there will be monthly, quarterly and yearly targets (volume and value) to meet and a favourable incentive pay structure shall make it financially attractive for the BDM to deliver consistent and growing business.
The BDM will be supported by professional central functions such as marketing, PR and lead generation as well as an efficient internal sales administration. The operational sales management is orchestrated via Dynamics 365 (Microsoft) and the division is run based on monthly and yearly sales targets which the BDM will be accountable for after a short introduction period. The Company is run with a strong focus on KPI and target orientation. The office-based Internal Business Development sales function (also reporting to the S&M Director) shall support the BDM with market analysis, database mining and lead development. The BDM will work in close cooperation with the Internal team, and the commercial targets are shared between the BDM and the internal team as mutual focus secures stronger results.
The Candidate overall profile:
- The BDM must have a strong commercial drive with a winner mentality.
- The ideal candidate is experienced with C-suite relationship-based sales management skills and has a strong understanding of both strategic and operational selling in a B2B environment.
- The successful candidate will be driven, hardworking, robust, structured and target orientated with an efficient operative mindset getting things done as a key priority.
- This must be combined with the ability to open doors, establish relationships and build long-term business platforms among demanding customers in a competitive environment.
- Strong IT skills across relevant applications (Excel, Word, Dynamics 365, ArtiCad, TurboCad etc) are a must.
