Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

Customer primary point of contact, perform project management duties not limited to communication, coordination, and follow up action such as time/labor/material quotes (DAF approval, give daily status progress updates, get customer approval and debrief on work packages (induction & output meetings), resolution of squawks, and address warranty issues (ODC & Customer Dispute)

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Research before aircraft maintenance input. (workscope e.g.defects, SB, repairs, modification with scope of approved capabilities, technical resources required, parts and tooling availability, location access, visa requirements, timelin
  • Forecast and create demand for spares, consumables, and outsourcing tasks and follow up with warehouse/supply chain on the availability of required GSE/tooling as required communicate with warehouse/supply chain, on any assistance required for their onwards arrangement and execution.
  • Provide quotation to customer for defect rectification and out of phase tasks with draft CRS.
  • Coordinate special programs with Project Support Team (ie., ISIT, CSIT) OEM warranty program (i.e., Smart Parts, ESP, MSP, HAAP, CASP, JSSI, Roll Royce and etc) to obtain approvals for all warranty jobs.
  • Create work packages (Work Orders) in SAP and Pivotal. (Include generation of service order (SVO) to each task within the work order (WO) before and during aircraft induction)
  • Organize customer pre-input, induction & output meeting with customers/supervisors/leads.
  • Update aircraft status on daily basis and report to his/her Operation Manager should there be any impending constraint.
  • Generate First Progressive Payment Invoice (PPI) for pre-paid or those exceeded credit limit.
  • Create work packages (Work Orders) in SAP and Pivotal based on smaller projects not covered under (PPD). (Include generation of service order (SVO) to each task within the work order (WO) before and during aircraft induction).
  • Develop critical milestones and maintain schedule through aircraft delivery and follow up.11. Monitor and oversee workflow to ensure RTS is on schedule. Ensure that work is performed in accordance with London MOE/ Repair Station / Quality Manual, WPI, GPI.
  • Coordinate with all departments and shops. Facilitate formal handovers when required between CPMs and shifts.
  • Support the team in returning aircraft to service RTS after maintenance.
  • Weight and balance adjustment calculation/report(TBD).
  • Manage and coordinate core return customer parts (in and out) shipment instructions / unused parts.
  • Closure of PO from 3rd Party vendor after RTS of aircraft and ensure hours clocked into SVO before PSAP.
  • Key in Corrective Action (CA) and generate CRS if required.
  • Inform Invoice Analyst (thru email) after PSAP work order.
  • Liaise with Invoice Analyst on warranty and special program and give support to preparation of invoicing as and when required.
  • Review, approve, and sign final customer invoice as needed (ZPRJ) (i.e., review margin sheet analysis, warranty negotiations, and review of service orders. (SVOs). Responsible for meeting financial objectives on all projects. Invoices to be issued within 5 days after RTS.
  • Perform post work package activities (Pivotal), (i.e, customer follow-up calls, resolve customer issues after departure.
  • Coordinate side Projects when needed
  • Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 5S, general housekeeping and lean process.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any other adhoc assignment task by management.

How to thrive in this role?

• A&P/ ICAO type 2 licences or equivalent experience with maintenance work and certification (Preferred)

• Basic knowledge of applicable local regulation NAA, EASA and Federal Aviation Part 145 regulations as applicable and relevant operational regulations part 91, 121, 135 or equivalent as well as CAMO interface

• Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs, parts and specialized services for business aircraft

• Basic knowledge of Aircraft repairs and modification processes and certifications Part 21.

• Basic knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations

• Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team and other departments

• Customer service skills necessary to modify communication, tone, and presentation to defuse crisis situations with internal and external customers and maintain mutually beneficial customer relations. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

• Previous experience in aircraft Project Management/Planning

• Critical thinking using data

• Working knowledge of SAP maintenance transactions

• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project
