Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award‑winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest‑growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Adheres to General Work Requirements
- Assists with analyzing feasibility according to optimal methods by assessing the costs, impacts and risks of a change in production
- Assists with drafting the necessary working and repair documents
- Learns to analyze and estimate PCR (Program Change Request)
- Assists with analyzing equipment and workstation production capacity
- Assists with analyzing requirements and initiates productions tool purchase orders, including ECAAR (Emergency Capital Acquisition Authorization)
- Assists Methods Planners with tool designs
- Directs Methods Planners in the preparation and revision of manufacturing documents such as MIWOs, LOGs, TWOs, Set‑Up Documents (Mfg Work Orders, Work Instructions (LOGs) and Tooling Work Orders)
How to thrive in this role?
- Demonstrable experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles
- Knowledge of SAP, ACAD, Catia V4/V5
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications
- Manufacturing background preferred
