Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award‑winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest‑growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Lead and assist internal and external quality audits, report on findings and monitor corrective actions.
- Assist and administer with audits and assessment of suppliers, contractors and sub‑contractors.
- Assist and administer with AD biweekly review from CAA & EASA website and issue review report and update the AD monitoring database.
- Act as the liaison between the aviation regulatory bodies and the Company.
- Actively support and participate in the company core values and policies.
- Identify and administer corrective actions for deficiencies through advising, educating and mentoring.
- Administer and monitor company training program to ensure regulatory compliances.
- Ensure accurate document management and monitor trends for aircraft maintenance work records.
- Assist to investigate occurrences and report into QIR & IOR system.
- Conduct quality related tasks for continuous improvement of the facility by conducting random inspection of work process, completed work document, etc.
- Actively promote continuous improvement policy and seek to reduce error occurrences.
- Attend the daily briefings and act as a subject matter expert to provide advice to the business.
- Manage and monitor the process and procedures within the QA department.
- Monitor and administrate the Company Approvals and renewal process.
- Monitor and administrate the certifying staffs’ company authorization systems.
- Assist to review current maintenance procedures for compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Accountable to Quality Manager on the daily quality operations.
- Perform induction and quality training as required.
- Carry out and perform the duties and requirements for company HS&E.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have several years of related experience in an aircraft service facility.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Aviation Management or equivalent experience.
- You have the computer skills necessary to learn and / or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web‑based applications.
- Hold either a Part 66 License, Diploma or recognised aviation qualification / s.
- Hold a recognised Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
- Knowledge of general aviation legislation (EASA, CAA, etc.) and quality systems (ISO9001 / AS9100).
- Knowledge of ICAO Safety Management System (SMS).
- Well versed in Microsoft programs (Words, Excel, Power‑point, etc.).
- You have project management training, an asset.
- Possess relevant quality assurance or audit experiences.
- Have strong presentation skills along with a high level of written and verbal skills.
