The Crew Coordinator ensures an effective and efficient crew planning in compliance with applicable law and regulations.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities
- Set up, monitor and maintain a short and long term crew planning, to ensure effective and efficient operations and optimal use of available crew.
- Ensure planning and changes are clearly communicated to the fleet and involved personnel.
- Coordinate transport and accommodation if and when required.
- Coordinate recruitment of vessel personnel.
- Ensure new personnel receives the required safety induction when embarking for the first time.
- Ensure required documents (seaman’s book, medical, training) are up to date and arrange renewal if and when required.
- Ensure that personnel data like mutations, illness, timesheets etc., are processed correctly and in time.
Required knowledge/experience
- Education/certificates: Secondary vocational education.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years as personnel planner, preferably in a maritime organization.
Other requirements:
- Fluently in the language of the designated area, both oral and written.
- Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
