As Safety Culture Lead / Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening the safety culture across Boluda Towage Europe. Your primary responsibility will be to further develop and facilitate our safety leadership program, ensuring that safety becomes an integral part of every operation, both at sea and on shore. In this role, you will guide the organisation in building a strong, safe, and sustainable culture. You will identify opportunities for improvement, design and implement initiatives that drive behavioural and cultural change, and ensure alignment with our broader HSEQ objectives. You will collaborate closely with colleagues at different levels of the organisation, from vessel crews and local HSEQ representatives to senior management. Together, you will work to continuously improve awareness, competence, and commitment to safety.

Scope of the role:

  • Develop initiatives with the goal to improve and strengthen the safety culture.
  • Establish training modules in cooperation with local training representatives.
  • Provide (HSEQ related) training to our colleagues on board and at the office.
  • Coach & guide colleagues in HSEQ related topics.
  • Drive development of (safety) leadership within the organization.
  • Proactively support and advise the organisation on HSEQ matters.
  • Support training and development of the local HSEQ staff.

What will you bring?

  • Experience in behavioural change management programs.
  • Training & coaching skills.
  • Nebosh diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or comparable.
  • Proven track record in working with different cultures.
  • Strong in risk assessment, incident investigation, RCA and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Familiar with ISM, ISO 9001/14001.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, German is a plus.
  • Preferably familiarity with the shipping industry and its challenges.
  • Experience with development & implementation of management systems is a pré.
