Boluda Towage Europe is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to support our towage operations inFelixstowe. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet while working within a dynamic and growing maritime business.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, the Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring that maintenance, repairs, and statutory requirements are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical operation and maintenance of assigned vessels.
- Plan and manage dry dockings, repairs, and vessel improvement projects.
- Monitor vessel performance and maintenance budgets.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, class, and company requirements.
- Support Masters and vessel crews with technical matters.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Conduct vessel inspections and audits as required.
- Assist in investigating technical incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the fleet.
What type of candidate are we looking for
- Higher Nautical School
- A minimum of 5 Years in a managerial position at a shipping company
- Seagoing experience
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of Classification and Flag State requirements and certificates
- Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written
- Fully proficient with computers and applications
